For All Mankind Star Teases A Satisfying Ending Ahead Of Final Season

Apple TV+’s long-running sci-fi drama For All Mankind has officially completed filming on its final season, and one of the series’ stars is offering reassurance that fans can expect a rewarding conclusion.
Over the years, Apple TV+ has built a strong lineup of science-fiction series, including Severance, Silo, and Dark Matter. However, For All Mankind remains one of the platform’s longest-running original dramas, having debuted in 2019. Earlier this year, Apple confirmed that the upcoming sixth season would serve as the show’s final chapter, with production wrapping in August.
Actress Mireille Enos, who portrays Celia Boyd, recently shared insights into the cast’s experience while filming the farewell season, suggesting that viewers will be pleased with how the story concludes.
Created as an alternate-history drama, For All Mankind imagines a world in which the space race never ended. Each season advances through a different era, beginning in the 1960s and 1970s before progressing into the 2010s in the latest installment.
The series has enjoyed strong critical acclaim since its debut. While the first season earned a 75% score on Rotten Tomatoes, subsequent seasons have consistently received ratings between 90% and 100%, contributing to an overall series average of 91%.
During its run, For All Mankind has also received multiple honors, including recognition from the Creative Arts Emmys, the Saturn Awards, and the Producers Guild of America Awards.
The ensemble cast features Joel Kinnaman, Shantel VanSanten, Wrenn Schmidt, Krys Marshall, Cynthy Wu, Coral Peña, Edi Gathegi, Toby Kebbell, Svetlana Efremova, Costa Ronin, Sean Kaufman, Ruby Cruz, and Ines Asserson.
Enos joined the series in season five rather than as an original cast member. Prior to her role in For All Mankind, she appeared in series such as Big Love, The Killing, The Catch, Hanna, Good Omens, and Lucky Hank. She is also set to star in the upcoming crime thriller American Hostage, which premieres on MGM+ on September 20.
The popularity of For All Mankind also inspired the launch of the spinoff series Star City earlier this year. The show revisits the alternate-history timeline from the perspective of the Soviet Union and has earned strong reviews, including a 94% score on Rotten Tomatoes.
Although Apple has not yet announced a second season for Star City, fans still have one final season of For All Mankind to anticipate in 2027. According to Enos, the wait will be worthwhile, with the series delivering a conclusion that should leave viewers satisfied.
