VisionQuest Reveals Vision’s New Emerald-And-Gold Costume
VisionQuest is scheduled to premiere on Disney+ on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, with its first two episodes. New episodes will then be released weekly.
Paul Bettany’s Vision is getting a major visual update in Marvel Studios’ upcoming Disney+ limited series, VisionQuest.
Since Vision first appeared in 2015, the advanced humanoid android has largely maintained the same integrated costume throughout Avengers: Age of Ultron, Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War, and WandaVision. Bettany’s recognizable suit features a deep teal-green and dark maroon color combination, along with a yellow-gold cape. After years of fans waiting for a new look for the character, VisionQuest is finally set to introduce a redesigned Vision costume.
Marvel Studios has confirmed the redesign in a newly released promotional video for the Disney+ series. The video features Bettany looking back at Vision’s journey through the MCU, beginning with his creation by Ultron, Tony Stark, and Bruce Banner and continuing through his final moments with Wanda in WandaVision. Near the end of the video, viewers get a brief look at Vision facing Ultron, revealing his updated emerald-and-gold costume.
Set after WandaVision, VisionQuest follows White Vision as he attempts to understand his identity and determine who he really is. Trailers have revealed that White Vision has created a Mindspace mansion inside his own mind, where he interacts with avatar versions of several major AI assistants from the MCU, including J.A.R.V.I.S., F.R.I.D.A.Y., E.D.I.T.H., and Ultron.
White Vision was created by the government using Vision’s body from Avengers: Infinity War and Wanda’s chaos magic, with the intention of turning him into a weapon. His last appearance came when he left Westview after Hex Vision restored the original Vision’s memories within him.
VisionQuest is developed by showrunner Terry Matalas, who is best known for his work on Star Trek: Picard. Bettany will appear alongside James Spader as Ultron, Ruaridh Mollica as Tommy, James D’Arcy as J.A.R.V.I.S., Orla Brady as F.R.I.D.A.Y., Emily Hampshire as E.D.I.T.H., T’Nia Miller as Jocasta, and Todd Stashwick as Paladin.
The limited series is expected to serve as the final installment of the MCU’s Westview trilogy, which began with WandaVision and continued with 2024’s Agatha All Along.
Bettany originally joined the MCU in 2008 as the voice of Tony Stark’s advanced artificial intelligence assistant, J.A.R.V.I.S. He went on to voice the character in Iron Man 2, The Avengers, Iron Man 3, and Avengers: Age of Ultron. In 2015, Bettany made his live-action MCU debut as Vision, undergoing an extensive transformation to portray the superhero on screen.
With his Mind Stone-powered abilities, memorable dialogue, and relationship with Wanda Maximoff, Vision quickly became one of the MCU’s popular characters.
Beyond VisionQuest, Marvel Studios is also preparing for the release of Avengers: Doomsday, which is scheduled to arrive on December 18, 2026. At this point, it remains unknown whether VisionQuest will have a direct connection to the upcoming Avengers films.
Following VisionQuest, the third and final season of Daredevil: Born Again is currently the only other live-action MCU series publicly lined up, following the reported cancellation of Wonder Man.
