A Time To Kill Sets The Theatres On Chill With Its Storyline
Murder mysteries and courtroom drama’s are always captivating and convincing in the novels. The dialogue and intensity of every scene, twist and turns are majorly expressed by the author writing the story. But delivering the same intensity of a thick book in a drama of a time of a couple of hour is an art. Thus, Joel Schumacher brings a masterpiece that keeps the audience LinkedIn to the drama with utmost entertainment.
He brings up a story based on John Grisham’s novel of the same name the film boasts an exceptional ensemble cast led by Matthew McConaughey in one of his breakout roles. McConaughey delivers a compelling performance as Jake Brigance a young and idealistic defense attorney. His portrayal captures the essence of a lawyer who is equal parts passionate vulnerable and determined.
The film revolves around a racially charged trial that follows the rape of a young black girl Tonya Hailey (played by Rae’Ven Larrymore Kelly by two white supremacists Billy Ray Cobb (played by Nicky Katt) and Pete Willard (played by Doug Hutchison). Samuel L. Jackson delivers a powerful performance as Carl Lee Hailey Tonya’s father who seeks revenge and takes the law into his own hands.
