Since then, the cast and team have been difficult at work on the production of Stranger Things season 4, laughing at the epic hierarchy of the upcoming season and what’s in stock for Eleven and friends when they finally make their return.

Stranger Things season 3, which stopped in the summer of 2019, saw Eleven, Will, Mike, Dustin, and Lucas face off against the Mind Flayer, culminating in a bitter battlettle at the Starcourt Mall. At the time, David Harbour’s Hopper appeared to sacrifice himself and die during the battle, but it was later disclosed that he was stuck in a Russian prison camp. Meanwhile, Eleven, Will, and the Byers family left Hawkins, Indiana and their friends behind in the hopes of saying goodbye to the traumatic incidents that had followed them in the small town. Generally, that doesn’t seem to be the case.

Netflix released a new trailer for Stranger Things season 4, knocking the epic journey to come. The clip indicates scenes from the first three seasons of the show before giving summary glimpses at the upcoming season. Eleven can be seen in the pointers of an unspecified enemy while Hopper glances to be coming to the recovery with a flamethrower. The gang can also be seen together, with Steven, Lucas, Max, Dustin, Nancy, and Robin investigating what looks to be a vacated house. Finally, a crashed car, cheerleaders, and the group riding on their bikes are shortly shown before it is disclosed that Stranger Things will return in 2022.

Although the glances are brief, any tease of Stranger Things seasons is thrilling. While the plot of the upcoming season is still under wraps, the new trailer certainly hints at some fascinating developments. How Eleven ends up being caught will be on everyone’s minds, as well just who Hopper is coming to rescue. Typically, he would be digging for Eleven due to his close bond with her, but it practically looks as if he is in the same house that the other group is.

Also interesting is the unusual image of the grandfather watch which also looks to be in the aforesaid house, probably located somewhere in Hawkins. Executive producer Shawn Levy has teased an unknown location where the main plot of Stranger Things season 4 will take place, however, so it could be somewhere that audiences aren’t anticipating. With the series already leading to Russia and following Eleven and Will wherever they’re going, it does seem like the upcoming season will be greater than ever before.
