The Umbrella Academy – Intertwined Story of Super Children
The Umbrella Academy is an Action/Adventure/Comedy Netflix TV series that covers the story of a family of former child heroes, now grown apart, who must reunite and save the world from the apocalypse.
The series is an adventurous ride covering family and teenage drama with a mixed spice of humans with superpowers. The show also has some time travel concepts in it and they levitate the interest of a viewer.
When billionaire Sir Reginald Hargreeves suddenly dies of a heart attack his adopted children Number One/Luther (Tom Hopper), Number Two/Diego (David Castaneda), Number Three/Allison (Emmy Raver-Lampman), Number Four/Klaus (Robert Sheehan), and Number Seven/Vanya (Ellen Page) come together after an exceptionally long time.
The children adopted by Sir Reginald Hargreeves were not normal there is something special about them all the children were born at the same time on the same day and are born with superpowers (except Vanya). The distorted upbringing of the children leads to their separation and they went their separate way till the day their father died.
Although all the children have superpowers, they also seem to have their demons that they have been fighting their entire life. The death of their father brought them together.
On the funeral day of their father, the long-lost sibling number five (Aidan Gallagher) who has the ability to make a time jump comes back and informs the others about the apocalypse that is yet to come. Number five did not know to control his powers when he was young and accidentally jumps far ahead in the future in the post-apocalyptic world and he aged there until he learns how to jump back in time and jumps back ten days before the apocalypse.
This major Netflix hit is based on comics with the same name and written by Gerard Way and Gabriel Ba. The series adaption has some changes from the source material. The series is created for Netflix by Steve Blackman and developed by Jeremy Slater.
The series currently has two seasons and Netflix also confirmed that there will be a third season. This series was the most-watched series on Netflix when released. The popularity of the series gave a green signal to produce the third season just after three months of season two release.
