It’s the true story of a javelin delinquent who finds love and faith during a Christian youth camp one-week stint.
At the start of the film, Will is running from the police, and at that time, his actions have landed him in a situation where he is facing Juvenile Hall. Will has been in pain and has not been dealt a good life since he lost his parents. Since then, Will has been in and out of 20 to Foster’s home and attended seven schools in 6 years. Christian somehow took in Will with one condition: he has to spend a week at a Christian summer camp, so Will agrees, and off he goes to bunk with George at camp Aweegaway. Some find this movie a breath of fresh air and a good family movie to spend the weekend with.
Many old songs were recreated in this movie, such as the remake of songs from Amy Grant, Audio Adrenaline, Michael W Smith, and Steven Curtis Chapman.
During that camp, Avery, the camp director’s daughter, caught Will’s attention, and as usual, friends are helping each other win their crush’s hearts. Later in the campaign, rumors about Will surfaced among campers, and again Will is struggling to get over his past traumas and everything.
