Will Smith Announced “The Alchemist” movie based on Paulo Coelho’s book
The Alchemist is known as one of the enriching novels by Paulo Coelho; this book has sold over 100 million copies since its Publication and holds Guinness World Record for most translated work by a living author. From this book, many attempts to make a movie from it, but it hasn’t succeeded yet.
At the Cannes Film festival, the Hollywood star Will Smith and wife Jada Pinkett Smith announced that they would co-produce the adaptation of The Alchemist. As Hollywood reporters recently said that the production of The Alchemist adaptation has shut down once again due to financial constraints. Wherever a production spokesman said that the movie remains entirely financed and intended to run into the right transfer issue, the issue of right transfer probably will be resolved in the coming days, and the project will be back on track within weeks potentially.
Paulo Coelho, the author, tweeted that the Hollywood star Will Smith with his wife has come to produce the movie under the banner of Westbrook studio along with Netter films. As stated on his Twitter, he will not be a part of the film production, but he will watch the movie as the audience when the movie is ready. Will Smith has also shared a teaser for the movie. Paulo Coelho, who refused to give away the right to make the movie on this book in earlier years, has warmed up to the idea.
The Alchemist movie will cast Sebastian De Souza, Tom Hollander, and Shohreh Aghdashloo. Earlier, some made the announcement to adapt The Alchemist but never succeeded. Still, this time, it is Will Smith, so we are hoping everything will go well, and the movie will be successfully released next year. The film’s shooting will be started in September in Morocco and has planned to be released in 2022.
