Spider-Man: Brand New Day Reportedly Sets November Home Release
Peter Parker’s Marvel Cinematic Universe journey continues to make a major impact in 2026, with Spider-Man: Brand New Day emerging as another major success for the franchise.
Tom Holland returned as Peter Parker this summer in the latest chapter of the MCU’s Spider-Man story, following the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home. With the 2026 installment performing strongly at the box office, the film now appears to be moving toward its home entertainment release.
According to a new listing on Blu-ray.com, Spider-Man: Brand New Day is reportedly scheduled to arrive on November 17, with the release expected to include a digital copy of the movie. Details regarding the special features for the 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray, Blu-ray, and DVD editions have not yet been revealed.
Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, the Phase 6 movie has reportedly achieved several major box-office milestones and has earned approximately $2.33 billion worldwide. The film also introduced audiences to one of the X-Men’s most recognizable characters, with Sadie Sink making her debut as Jean Grey.
Despite the film’s success and its ending leaving room for another chapter, Sony and Marvel have not officially confirmed a sequel. Amy Pascal previously explained that the partnership between Sony and Marvel has always been handled on a movie-by-movie basis. She also emphasized the importance of putting Peter Parker at the center of their collaboration.
Even if Spider-Man 5 receives an official announcement later this year and Cretton returns to direct, audiences may have to wait several years before seeing the next installment. Cretton’s current priority is the live-action adaptation of Naruto, which is now moving forward with casting and is expected to begin filming in 2027.
The post-credits scene of Spider-Man: Brand New Day also left Peter Parker’s future somewhat uncertain. One of the biggest questions surrounding Holland’s Spider-Man is whether he will appear in Avengers: Doomsday, the next major MCU theatrical release. Marvel Studios has not yet confirmed whether Holland will join Earth’s Mightiest Heroes for the December release.
Because the events of Peter’s latest solo adventure take place before the events of the upcoming ensemble movie, it remains possible that Holland could have filmed material for Avengers: Doomsday. Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has also indicated that several characters have yet to be revealed, meaning Peter Parker’s potential involvement could still be kept secret.
However, even if Spider-Man does not appear in Avengers: Doomsday, Holland’s character could still have an important role in the MCU’s next major crossover. Production on Avengers: Secret Wars is scheduled to begin this fall, with the movie expected to serve as the conclusion of the Multiverse Saga. Considering Spider-Man’s importance to the MCU, it would be surprising if Peter Parker were completely absent from the final entry in Phase 6.
