Project Power – A new ‘not a superhero’ movie!

This week, with Project Power, Netflix is all set to end your superhero/super power movie craving. Although this cant termed as a superhero movie, it will surely scratch the itch of many people craving for yet another superhero movie. The streaming giant is not doubt knows how to please its clients, first their July hit – The Old Guard and now they will try to make up for another hit in August with this Power Project.

Written by Mattson Tomlin, the movie features three people play key roles. Robin (Dominique Fishback) is a teenage drug dealer working her way up in the brutal society for cash to pay for her diabetic mom’s medical needs. She is being helped by office pal, Frank (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) fighting super criminal popping drug pill (Pills that gives you temporary powers) to become bulletproof while catching the power criminals. And, the third wheel of the plot is Major (Jamie Foxx), an ex-soldier who is trying to find his daughter who apparently is tied up with source of Power Pills.

Having criminal with super powers, you can guess nothing good happens with any of the leads, as each of the leads try to work their way up in the food chain, they get more and more entangled with each other. As some point, they try to kill each other but, in the end, come together to save the city.

Good watch if you just want to enjoy some action surrounding the superpowers. They might come with a second part of the movie!
