Password Sharing – Isn’t Happening Yet?

As per the recent news from Netflix, the password sharing option haven’t been in details yet. The company has been working from a large span of time on this decision of stopping password sharing for Netflix accounts.

The page of United States Help Center Page on this week highlighted the move with a sign of statement. But it also left a blurry point and led to confusion and concern regarding the same. To clear the queries of their subscribers, Netflix currently indicated about the new restrictions rolling out soon.

As per the sources, the rules and regulations of the company will currently be only applicable in the regions of Chile, Costa Rica and Peru.

The company also shared about the reason behind this step. In the statement made by Netflix team members, Netflix faced a quite large amount of earnings in the first quarters of January.

This was because the subscribers were sharing passwords to non subscribers by which they were getting free access to the content and affecting the income of the company.

On this decision, the company also detects some further consequences it might face, the decision might make users unhappy and there could be number of cancellation of subscriptions to that but it seems similar as raising of plans though. Thereafter, this could be a universal move made by the company for rectifying it’s policies.
