Now Watch ‘The One and Only Ivan’ – Disney Plus Original Coming on August 21

Walt Disney Studios announced the release of its latest Disney Plus original movie – The One and Only Ivan. It is an adaptation of Katherine Applegate’s bestselling, award-winning book about one very special gorilla. The movie is directed by Thea Sharrock with the A-list cast which includes the likes of Bran Cranston, Helen Mirren, Angelina Jolie, Sam Rockwell and more.
The film revolves around Ivan, a 400-pound silverback gorilla who shares a communal habitat in a mall with Stella the elephant, Bob the dog, and some other friendly animal friends. Ivan gets introduced to new baby elephant Ruby and soon he starts questioning about his own background and lost family. This could be another great movie where you’ll likely need tissues for this one.
The movie will premiere exclusively on Disney+ August 21, 2020. This was previously scheduled to be released theatrically by The Walt Disney Studios. The film surely is an unforgettable tale of friendship enhanced with great visualizations by Disney.
