“Netflix To Debut Sci-fi K-Drama Series ‘Goodbye Earth’ In April 2024”
“Goodbye Earth” is an upcoming South Korean Netflix Original dystopian drama directed by Kim Jin-Min and written by screenwriter Jung Sung Joo. It marks Jung Sung Joo’s return to screenwriting since 2015 when she penned the drama “Heard It Through the Grapevine.” She is also known for her work on dramas such as “Secret Love Affair,” “Roses and Bean Sprout,” and “A Wife’s Credentials.”
The series adapts the novel “The Fool At the End of the World” by Kōtarō Isaka. Isaka’s works have been adapted before, including the Brad Pitt movie “Bullet Train.” Netflix is also adapting another novel by Kōtarō Isaka, with news surfacing in November 2022 that Anne Hathaway and Salma Hayek Pinault were set to star in the feature film “Seesaw Monster.”

With 200 days left before the predicted apocalypse, people continue living their lives.

When is “Goodbye Earth” coming to Netflix?
Originally expected to debut in late 2023, the series is now set to drop globally on April 26th, 2024, at 8 AM GMT.
Season 1 will consist of 12 episodes.
The show was first announced in January 2022, with casting and filming commencing around the summer.
On September 5th, 2022, a Tweet from a K-Drama fan account revealed that filming had concluded for “Goodbye Earth.”
Who are the cast members of “Goodbye Earth”?
Ahn Eun Jin, known for her roles in “Hospital Playlist” and “Kingdom,” stars as Chu Min Ha. Yoo Ah-in, originally slated to star but edited out post-production due to drug charges, was set to play Ha Yoon Sang. Jeon Sung Woo, known for the Korean adaptation of “Designated Survivor,” takes on the role of Priest Damiano. Kim Yoon Hye, seen in “Vincenzo,” portrays Seo Mi Ro.
