Netflix Secures Streaming Rights for The Yin Yang Master
Netflix recently secured the global exclusive streaming rights for The Yin Yang Master. The Chinese fantasy film has been adapted from the popular mobile game Onmyōji. The movie stars Chen Kun and Zhou Xun and it will be available exclusively on Netflix across 190 countries.
The leading stars have collaborated after eight years for the film which will be produced by Chen Kuo-fu and Chang Chia-lu and directed by Li Weiran.
The movie is baes on the drawback of the world that is on the verge of a devastating war with the monsters who are coming back to retrieve the Scaling Stone. The plot revolves around Yin Yang Master Qingming played by Chen Kun whose life is in danger as he travels to different worlds to prepare for the upcoming assaults from the monsters.
The movie will see Chen Kun and Zhou Xun’s characters in a relationship whereas the character played by William Chan portrays a sophisticated transformation from good to evil. Qingming, on his journey, discovers the key to all the calamities is embracing his hybrid identity of both human and monster.
The movie is yet another venture of producers Chen Kuo-fu and Chang Chia-lu and their earlier collaboration includes Painted Skin The Resurrection, and the Detective Dee franchise.
