Better Call Saul Season 6 Trailer: Jimmy’s Business Is Booming

The latest trailer for Better Call Saul season 6 shows a large number of new clients for Saul Goodman. The AMC legal crime drama starring Bob Odenkirk has just concluded filming its final season, which had been underway since last year. This series is a prequel to its predecessor, Breaking Bad, following Odenkirk’s character of Jimmy McGill during his early days. The spinoff show focuses on the transition of his persona and his journey to becoming a “criminal” attorney, along with the path of Jonathan Banks’ Mike Ehrmantraut. Throughout Better Call Saul seasons 1-5, the series has slowly integrated characters from Breaking Bad to coincide with its timeline.
Since the conclusion of season 5, there have been many teasers as to how the events of the highly anticipated final season will play out. Season 6 will consist of 13 episodes, and cast members including Odenkirk and Rhea Seehorn, along with co-creator and showrunner Peter Gould, have promised that the story will come full circle. Better Call Saul season 5 ended with many intense developments, which the final season will have to answer for. This includes Kim swaying more towards the dark side with Jimmy in taking down Howard Hamlin, and the rise of the war between Gus Fring and Lalo Salamanca, with Nacho Varga, caught in the battle.
Now, AMC+ takes to social media to headline their lineup of shows, including the final season of Better Call Saul. The mashup trailer opens up with a clip of Saul entering the nail salon, where he has an office, and asking which of the people are there to see him, with the hands raised indicating a good number of potential clients. The clip also connects one of AMC’s promotional slogans, “epic finales,” to a shot of Kim Wexler, perhaps teasing the series finale.
While many hints have been dropped about Better Call Saul season 6, the storylines continue to be kept tightly under wraps. With the final season, it is expected that not only will the show resolve its current timeline, but also shift more focus towards the flash-forwards that traditionally opened each season, which take place after Saul’s storyline in Breaking Bad. How the black-and-white future of Jimmy McGill will conclude, as well as the fates of potentially other characters that may show up in that timeline, is truly anybody’s guess, but the pressure is mounting and there is nowhere to hide.
With the events of the Season 5 finale, it is expected that Better Call Saul will veer towards ruthlessness and tragedy as it inches closer to the Breaking Bad timeline. The trailers released so far have also been picked apart for their clues hidden in plain sight, with Fring’s address and the letters on the crime scene visited by the Salamanca twins revealing the season 6 premiere date. More information is soon to come, and it will be exciting to begin the endgame when the first half of Better Call Saul season 6 arrives on April 18.
