Eternals first responses: Critics call MCU film ‘breathtakingly strange’, ‘Marvel’s adaptation of Snyder’s Justice League’

Eternals premiered in Los Angeles on Monday night and however the ban on the survey is yet to be lifted, pundits have taken to Twitter to share their first responses to the Marvel Cinematic Universe film. Coordinated by Oscar-winning Chinese chief Chloé Zhao, Eternals is MCU’s 26th film and brings a gathering of entertainers into the superhuman universe. Taking to Twitter, Erik Davis from Fandango called Eternals ‘terrifically peculiar and rich. He tweeted, “Wonder’s #Eternals is tremendously strange and rich w/another MCU folklore that causes it to feel separate from all the other things. It’s really reviving. There’s a bittersweetness to the film that you feel in its dusk shots – an unmistakable Chloé Zhao contact. It is deep and smart.”
Scott Menzel, the author of We Live Entertainment, contrasted the film and Zack Snyder’s vision for Justice League. “Eternals is Marvel’s variant of Zack Snyder’s Justice League. A film that expands upon a cast of obscure characters and does as such with extraordinary achievement. Chloé Zhao’s heading is sublime. Effectively one of the most incredible-looking Marvel movies ever. Crazy post-credits scenes as well,” he said.

Eternals will release in India on November 5, a day after Diwali. The film will be the second Marvel film to deliver in India after the pandemic started.
