High Potential Season 3 Premiere Date Revealed

High Potential Season 3 Premiere Date Revealed

High Potential is returning to television earlier than expected, with ABC scheduling the crime drama’s third season to premiere immediately after Super Bowl LXI on Sunday, February 14, 2027.

The announcement was made on Monday, October 12, 2026, during ESPN’s Monday Night Football broadcast. Starring Kaitlin Olson, the popular series will benefit from one of television’s most prominent programming slots, potentially introducing the show to millions of viewers following the championship game.

The post-Super Bowl broadcast offers ABC a significant opportunity to expand the show’s audience. With the NFL championship traditionally attracting a substantial television audience, the premiere could help High Potential reach viewers who have not previously watched the series.

Super Bowl LXI is scheduled to take place at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. The event will air on ABC and ESPN and stream on Disney+. The February 2027 championship will mark ESPN’s first Super Bowl production and ABC’s first broadcast of the game since 2006.

ABC’s decision to feature High Potential in the coveted time slot follows the drama’s strong performance since its debut in September 2024. According to figures released by the company, the series finished the 2025–2026 season as the highest-rated entertainment program among adults aged 18 to 49 across ABC, Hulu, Disney+, and other platforms.

The upcoming post-Super Bowl premiere could further strengthen the show’s position by exposing it to a broader audience. The early-season launch also gives returning fans another reason to tune in while offering newcomers an opportunity to discover the series.

Inspired by the French television series Haut Potentiel Intellectuel, High Potential follows Morgan Gillory, played by Olson, a highly observant single mother with an exceptional ability to recognize patterns. Her distinctive skills make her a valuable asset to local law enforcement as she helps solve criminal cases.

The series also features Daniel Sunjata as Adam Karadec, Javicia Leslie as Daphne, Deniz Akdeniz as Lev “Oz” Ozdil, Amirah J as Ava, Matthew Lamb as Elliot, and Judy Reyes as Selena.

Created and developed by Drew Goddard, High Potential is produced by 20th Television. Its executive producers include Goddard, Sarah Esberg, Nora Zuckerman, Lilla Zuckerman, and Olson, while Andrea Massaro serves as a co-executive producer.

For the third season, Nora and Lilla Zuckerman are taking over showrunning responsibilities following Todd Harthan’s departure. With its high-profile premiere placement, High Potential is positioned to begin its new season with considerable audience attention.
