The Batman: Part 2 Sets 2028 Release Date
The Batman: Part 2 is scheduled to arrive in theaters on February 18, 2028, continuing Robert Pattinson’s take on one of DC’s most iconic superheroes.
Batman first debuted in 1939, created by Bill Finger and Bob Kane as a dark and mysterious masked vigilante. Over the decades, the character has become one of the most recognizable and popular heroes in the world, with numerous memorable portrayals across animation and live-action adaptations.
Throughout his long history, Batman has undergone several major transformations. The character appeared in 1940s wartime serials before taking on the colorful, campy style associated with the 1960s. Later interpretations moved toward darker gothic themes and more psychological storytelling. Robert Pattinson’s version of the character represents another significant change, with his portrayal described as a more “radical” interpretation of the Dark Knight.
The Batman: Part 2 is expected to continue director Matt Reeves’ distinct vision for the character. The upcoming sequel follows the foundation established by the first movie, which introduced a younger Bruce Wayne struggling to establish himself as a symbol of hope for Gotham while confronting dangerous threats throughout the city.
The first film offered a darker and more gothic interpretation of Batman than many modern audiences had previously seen, giving the character a fresh direction. The sequel is expected to build on that approach while expanding Reeves’ version of Gotham and its characters.
Several new actors have also joined the cast, including Sebastian Stan, Scarlett Johansson, Brian Tyree Henry, Sebastian Koch, and Charles Dance. Their specific roles have not yet been officially confirmed. However, rumors have suggested that Stan could portray Harvey Dent/Two-Face, while Johansson may take on the role of Vicki Vale.
