Netflix announced a new Resident Evil, a Netflix original live-actions drama series which will be based on the very popular survival horror video game. This new Resident Evil series will be written by Andrew Dabb and it will be produced by Constantin Film, which has already made the six films of the same name starring Milla Jovovich.

According to recent announcements, this new series will cover two difference timelines of the story. The first timeline will follow two sisters, Jade and Billie Wesker, when they move to Racoon City. Whereas, the second timeline story will exist with 16-year time jump which will focus on Jade who is trying to survive the world overrun by billions of mutated monsters.

Earlier in 2019, Netflix confirmed that they were working on the Resident Evil TV series. With this announcement, curiosity comes to an end and finally all the resident evil fans will see the new take on the survival drams enhance by sci-fi build up.

The first two episodes of the series will be directed by Bronwen Hughes, who is well known for her work as a director on The Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, and Better Call Saul.

The original Resident Evil Franchise was launched in 2002 which lasted till 2016 and it has been the highest ever grossing film series that was based on a video game.
